On the afternoon of June 13, the first Zlab Badminton Tournament wrapped up at the gymnasium of Nanjing University Suzhou Campus. Over three hours of thrilling matches, contestants from four groups competed and made friends through badminton, bringing wonderful energy to the campus in summer.
Four teams took part: Battery & Photothermal, Battery Materials, Perovskite, and Sustainable Electrochemical Engineering. Competing in a round-robin system, the events covered men's singles, women's singles and mixed doubles. Team rankings were based on total victories.
After three hours of intense competition, the Sustainable Electrochemical Engineering Group claimed the championship. The Battery Materials Group took second place, while the Battery & Photothermal Group finished third.
Competition hones skills, matches bring people together. More than a badminton tournament, this gathering let everyone connect and progress side by side. Participants shared experience, drew on each other's strengths and built closer bonds. Rising above the rivalry for rankings, they lived up to the timeless sports spirit: friendship comes before competition.
