Dr. Ning Xu is an Associate Professor at the School of Modern Engineering and Applied Sciences, Nanjing University. She received his B.S. degree in Materials Physics and Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Nanjing University. She is mainly engaged in the research of photothermal conversion materials and devices, water-energy materials and devices, including the design of photothermal materials with micro-nanostructures and the modulation of optical-thermal properties, and water purification/water extraction/resource extraction based on solar interfacial photothermal energy. The results have been published as first/corresponding authors (including co-authors) in top journals such as Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Water, Science Advances, National Science Review, Joule, Advanced Materials, Angewandte Chemie and other top journals, many of which were selected as ESI Highly Cited Papers, presided over a number of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) projects, such as the National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation (NOYSF), and was awarded the First Prize of Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Prize (ranked the third), and China's New Rising Scientific and Technological Figures, and other honours.
